The Amp is a residential development in Roxbury, MA, and part of the larger Flat9 complex. This brand direction was designed to complement the overarching Flat9 identity while giving The Amp a distinct visual voice of its own. Inspired by the form and energy of amplifier boxes, the logo features condensed, tightly spaced letterforms that evoke rhythm, boldness, and volume.

The typography aligns with Flat9’s aesthetic but introduces its own story—one that reflects the vibrancy of Roxbury’s cultural and musical roots. The design captures a sense of movement and amplification, reinforcing The Amp’s role as a vital and expressive part of the broader community.
